Khao Chong Botanical Garden has a large collection of rare flora grown for conservation and the propagation of rare species to be reintroduced into the wild.  The garden is also a place for research and studies.  Moreover, the Garden is making efforts towards reforestation. 

In the Botanic Garden, the collections are classified into sections for easy study.  There are also beautiful arranged mixed gardens.  This is because the Botanic Garden has an important duty as a tourist destination and as a center for education. 

The garden of palms collection is also a place where tourists can visit and study.  Over 100 species of palms have been planted.  The shapes of their trunks and leaves are various and exotic.  Each species also has its unique characteristics.
