Khao Chong is a diverse, seasonal tropical rain forest.  There are many kinds of economically important big trees including Intsia palembanica Miq, Dipterocarpus spp., Hopea odorata Roxb., Aquilaria malaccensis, etc. There are also many indigenous species of bamboo, rattan, and herbs.
